Alexandra first took up weaving when she took a workshop with a talented local artist in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Having only made a few pieces for family and friends, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland with a half-woven weaving of gorgeous greens, pinks, browns & a light turquoise packed amongst all of her things.

A year or so after settling in the Mid-Atlantic, she picked up this old weaving and finished it. Realizing that weaving was both a meditative & intuitive way to nourish herself and her creativity, she has been using various colors and textures of wool to translate her visions onto the loom ever since.

Alexandra is interested in learning more about natural plant dyeing her own fibers, as well as beginning to weave with more non - traditional materials off the loom, making some installation - like pieces.
